A Restart Party is a free community repair event where volunteers help people fix their own broken or slow electronic devices and small appliances, to save them from waste and change our relationship with electronics.
Our Restart Parries have been a great success with our first four Fixer Volunteers assessing and repairing a set of Active PA Loudspeakers, a NAD HiFi and a set of GHD hair straighteners.
Our second Restart party assessed and identified the problem with a Tennis Ball launcher – potentially saving the local tennis club around £1,500.00 on a replacement unit.
Our next Restart Party is on Sunday 9th June from 10:30 to 13:30 – please get in touch beforehand if you have an item you wish to discuss or simply come along on the day and we will assess your item and where possible assist with a repair.
Where possible please get in touch beforehand to discuss your faulty item – that allows us to ensure we have the correct tools and possibly spare parts available on the day.
Thanks to a donation from The Restart Project our Fixer team have a New ifixit Pro Tech Toolkit.
We are looking for additional Restart volunteer ‘Fixers’ to join our team – please get in touch if you can help out, email@example.com
