Tweeddale Railway Society
The Tweeddale Railway Society was formed as a result of interest from visitors to the Newlands Railway Exhibition in 2016.
The society caters for members from Tweeddale and South Lanarkshire who are interested in railways and related transport systems along with the buildings and infrastructure plus model railway systems.
Our interests include UK and overseas railway systems and their scope of operation – we are particularly interested in developing these interest in the younger generation in order that they support the development of our railways in the years to come.
The Society meets at Newlands Activity Centre on the first Monday of every month from 19:30 and is open to members and non-members with a programme of talks, films and demonstrations on matters connected with railways and related transport systems.
