It is a movement and multi- sports activity class. The class has been running for 4 years in Peebles and we have successfully started new classes at the Newlands Centre, Romanno Bridge.
What will the class involve?
All classes start with a warm-up and a little bit of light stretching. This is then followed by a variety of activities that will explore different movements (running, jumping, stopping, directions, rolling, dodging etc), balancing, catching, bouncing, kicking, batting, striking and lots more. We play different games and challenges. Basically it will involve fun, fun and more fun!
Why are these skills important? What will my child gain?
The skills that your child will develop in the classes will help their self confidence and self-esteem. They will learn cooperation skills, how to work alongside others and what sportsmanship is.
Did you know that movement is at the core of all learning? And did you know that kids who enjoy sport and exercise tend to stay active throughout their lives?
